Land-Seeker
We understand that there can be challenges for new and entry-level farmers, such as buying farm property, securing water rights, and start-up costs. This is why the NWNM New Farmer Network believes that leasing farm land can be a wise first step with several benefits, such as:
- Lower risk option for newer farmer looking to build their knowledge and skills
- Allows farmers to get onto farmland without the enormous capital investment required to purchase land
- Avoid associated ownership costs such as property taxes and water right fees
- Flexible leasing agreements
Land-Seeker Enrollment
You've got enough on your plate, that's why we've made it easy for land-seekers to register their profile and become enrolled in the NWNM New Farmer Network. The Farmer Enrollment Form is FREE and the process is simple - just answer the profile information in the form, and that will be used to match you with the most compatible landowner.
Part of the "matchmaking" process is ensuring that both parties are transparent, honest, and have similar goals. This is why it is important to answer each question with as much detail as you are able to provide. This will help us find the best fit possible. And don't worry, we will NEVER share this information with a landowner before reaching out to you first for permission.
